As Development Manager, Kaila manages, coordinates, builds, and cultivates donor relationships with individuals and family foundations and raises significant revenue to help sustain the organization. She crafts proposals, prepares presentations, develops and engages in stewardship visits, manages logistics, and develops strategic communications.
Prior to joining our team, Kaila has experience as a community organizer for both issue based and candidate based campaigns where she created and strengthened community ties for just causes. She also has experience in multiple nonprofits working on communications, policy, food systems, and civic engagement.
Kaila’s passion about the environment stems from her experience living in the Delaware River Watershed in the Poconos during junior high and high school where she enjoyed hiking the Appalachian trails and the beauty of the river and wildlife.
Education: B.A. Environmental Studies concentration in Policy, Politics, and Economics and double major in Philosophy, Mount Holyoke College; M.A. Environmental Studies concentration in Environmental Justice, University of Pennsylvania
