Dear Friends of the Anacostia Watershed Society,
It is with both sadness and gratitude that I announce that after twelve years of service, I am resigning from my position as President of the Anacostia Watershed Society.
I have been honored to work with many of you over the past decade to achieve significant progress towards a swimmable and fishable Anacostia River, and I have every confidence in the AWS staff’s ability to make this dream a reality.
Please join me in my support of Senior Vice President/Chief Operating Officer, Erin Borgeson Castelli, as she takes the helm as interim President/CEO beginning today while the Board conducts a process for identifying the next AWS President. We ask for your continued support as we advance along our successful trajectory towards a restored Anacostia River.
It has been my pleasure to fight for and witness the revitalization of the river over this past decade, and I look forward to making a “splash” with you in the coming years!
